I like that I can use my Mac and everything works seamlessly between my Mac and my phone... and... I'll never give up iMessage.

Normally I'd be all for Android, however, lately I've been drawn to Apple products in general. Apple makes devices that are both aesthetically and usability wise pleasing. Android offers a lot more in the sense of customisation - But do people really want to think about these things? Apple takes this uncertainty out of the equation. Plus, everything integrates extremely well.

Definitely Apple. Been working in business & marketing and technology, i.e. IT, development, web & application design, customer acquisitions, etc. for 25 years. I also know OS's pretty well starting with non GUI interfaces in high school, Macs in college then PCs in business for over a decade. Then back to Macs in the 00's (still use PCs for certain applications). In short, I know OS platforms very well. Having used Android along with technology colleagues and friends who tend to swap phone OS's a lot, iOS is by far the most intuitive, secure and easy to use smart phone OS around. Not only does Android have a ton of security risks with a very open App Marketplace, but the way the OS organizes various core functions and features sets, leads me to believe that either Google's OS UI design team were simply forcing differences OR had to due to IP constraints and were not allowed legally to copy the way iOS's UI and UX look, feel and function.

iOS is much more reliable than android. It secures your security and makes a digital wall to keep most viruses out.

Here's a very good (and objective) article on where the two OSs stand up against each other in 2018: https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/android-vs-ios/. If really comes down to how you use your phone. Enjoy!

ios is more safe but android is more cool

Why would you say iOS is more safe? Android is open Source, I think iPhone just have lingering exploits.

Androids are popular because they are older, but my dad’s a software manager and knows that android is more open to viruses

Android. Customisation vs a controlled experience. More apps. Android all the way.

Android for the win. I started out my mobile phone years with the Nokia 5210 and 3310. When iPhone came out I thought it was the most amazing thing ever. Finally I got my hands on a second hand iPhone4 and loved it for a long time. My first foray into Android was the Moto G 2nd gen (which isn't even a good phone). The ability to customise my homescreen made an immediately impact. I temporarily returned to an iPhone after breaking my Moto G and waiting for my OnePlus3T and it wasn't 'bad' (no flagship is 'bad') but I just hated that it basically always felt like and iPhone, and it never felt like 'my' phone. Anyway, I'm for Android

I have only ever used iOS. I've never used an android device. What I have noticed over the years is that Apple went from exceeding my expectations by innovating features I didn't know could become reality to severely falling short of my expectations in the last three major releases. The number of times I now say, "My phone should be able to do this...." or "Why can't it do this..." are too frequent for me to be FOR iOS any longer. The trouble I'm in is that all of my ecosystem is so entrenched at the benefits are too high for me to take the plunge into the unknown with Android.

Android makes you feel like a power users it offers flexibility & customization and offers much more to the end user. Even low- end cheaper phones can run Android and are specifically available to a wider audience on the cheap especially for countries such as India and Africa. No need to pay a few hundred dollars just for an average android phone, most times there are some powerful devices available running android, as opposed to iOS which will leave you bankrupt for just an entry level device. Also in terms of build quality of apple products think about how many of your friends whom has an iPhone also has a broken screen/frame now compare that to your android friends. Also with Android you're integrated across all the google services just by logging in via gmail. Screen casting, you tube, chrome all the things that Mac users will use everyday. Also... unlike apple most android device manufactures won't slow down your phone when the battery is on the way out, they would allow you to most times replace/take ou

IOS is the simplistic choice. Android is far more intricate and offers far more to people to appreciate the little details.
