China to remove 2 term-limit from constitution

China’s ruling Communist Party plans to scrap presidential term limits, making it possible for President Xi Jinping to stay in power indefinitely and potentially changing the country’s political trajectory.

The proposal, announced Sunday, would remove a line from China’s constitution that says the president and vice president “shall serve no more than two consecutive terms.” That change would allow Xi to stay in office beyond the end of his second term in 2023.

What a lot of people don't understand is that China is not the USA. China is technically a communist country. Despite that they're one of the most economically successful countries. Culturally I've noticed that Western cultures are more individualistic, whereas China especially seems more group-centred. This 'could' end up being a good thing for China.

I'm instinctively against this. However, are they suggesting 3 terms or are they just allowing the President to serve forever?
